Katie Boulter sparked engagement rumours with boyfriend Alex de Minaur after being spotted with a ring on that finger on Sunday.
But now, Casey Dellacqua has shut down the speculation.
The former Aussie tennis star had a definitive answer when asked to weigh in on the swirling rumours.
Instructed to step on either side of the tennis court line to indicate yes or no to the question of the pair are engaged, Dellacqua confirmed the speculation was false.

“Sorry, they’re not,” she revealed.
However, the former tennis pro had an optimistic follow up, adding she reckons an engagement is “not too far off” and the pair “seem very happy.”
Speculation was sparked when Boulter was seen in the stands at de Minaur’s Australian Open match on Sunday night with what appeared to be an engagement ring sitting on her ring finger.
Boulter later consoled her boyfriend after he lost the fourth round to world No.5 player Andrey Rublev.
Neither Bouler or de Minaur, who have become something of a tennis power couple in recent years, have addressed the engagement speculation.
English tennis star Boulter has been dating the Australian player for four years since first being romantically linked in 2020.

The couple first met while touring for tennis, Boulter revealed to Tatler magazine in 2023, revealing the pair are “on the same wavelength when it comes to our priorities.”
De Minaur opened up in 2022 about how the pair balance their relationship with their individual careers after two years together.
“In a way it’s interesting; we kind of both go through similar lifestyles,” he said.
“We both struggled at times with the same things. I reckon we both would rather if we didn’t play the sport because that way, we could probably see each other more often but it comes with the territory and when it comes to that we understand each other quite well,” he added.
“We know all the doubts and thoughts in the processes we both go through, and we just try to be there for each other win, lose, or draw. That’s probably the most important thing.”
The sport power couple first went Instagram official in 2021, with a post to celebrate their milestone one-year anniversary.
Since then, the pair have frequented each other’s social media and have most recently been together in Australia to compete separately in the Australian Open.

On Sunday night, de Minaur was consoled by his long-time girlfriend after he struck out of the Australian Open.
The Aussie tennis star was spotted covering his face with a towel while Boulter embraced him in a heartfelt hug.
